No need of a VPN, ordinary proxies would do the trick and there are plenty. Otherwise Opera provides an unlimited free VPN with their browser. An other option is to use the Tor browser.

There always will be geeks finding a way to counter-attack whatever protection system that could exist, no need to worry. Even with the most protected streamed videos, there is nothing they could do to prevent you from using a screen recorder or recording your screen with a camera, it's boring to do but bulletproof even if the Majors waste billions to protect their films.

Usually "download managers" offer such option. They may exist as an addon for FireFox, like the popular DownThemAll, FlasgGet, Download Manager Tweek, etc.
